Canada Goose Kensington Parka

I can't wait for really, really cold winter days!
You might think I'm a total weirdo for saying something as stupid as that.
But I just can't wait to wear my Canada Goose Kensington Parka.
The three last winters have been freezing here in Bergen - so last year I decided that this year I would finally buy the Canada Goose Parka. It's expencive, I admit it, but this is a parka I will have for the rest of my life! I love tha fact that it's slim fitting, and the extra lining in the jacket prevent the down from peeping out through the seames!
It's only just below zero (celcius) today, so I'm wearing the jacket for the first time - and I love it!
Let the winter come - cold and snowy - I am ready! :)

Barcelona

Barcelona is a fantastic city on the coast of Spain.
In spite of the economic crisis in Europe, Barcelona is bustling with tourists! Unlike other places in Spain, where you will find lots of empty shops - everything is still running good in Barelona.
Why, you might ask...
Well, mostly because of the tourists. Barcelona is filled with them.
Some come for the sun, some for the food and wine, some for the arcitecture and museums, some for the football and some for the shopping.
Barcelona has it all in huge amounts.

I just spent a weekend there, it was my second time in Barcelona, and it will not be the last.
The prices are more than affordable - so going to Barcelona now is good value for money.

I did some shopping in Zara, and compared to the same shop in Norway, it's really cheap!
I bought a leather jacket, price 89€ (today's exchange rate means 650 norwegian kroner), the same jacket in the store in Oslo costs 1500 NOK. So it's more than half price!

That's just one of many examples - so go ahead and shop til you drop!

Fab weekend

My sister came to visit this weekend, and what a fab weekend we have had!
Lot's of sister time :)

I picked her up at the airport on Friday, got some sushi take-away on the way home.
The weather was good, so we decided to eat on the balcony, and of course have champagne!!

Saturday was a bit grey weather wise, but who cares?
We walked in to town, armed with an umbrella and a credit card each - ready for shopping.
Both my sister and I have wanted a Burberry trench coat for a long time.
That is the ultimate trench, and will always be fashionable!
Fist thing we ran to Rene, and tried them on. Big mistake! HUGE!!
After you have tried a Burberry, H&M is not the same anymore!
I'll just have to save up, and maybe visit Burberry when I'm in London in October :))

But we had to do some shopping, and I ended up buying a pair of fab jeans in this fall's it-colour; plum! And I bought a fab fake fur coat. Unfortunately it's too hot to wear it now (words I never thought I would say about Bergen).

In Kløverhuset at Scabal I found a pair of fabulous ankle boots by See by Chloe, and the best thing; they were on sale!! YIHAAA!! Fab colour for the fall as well, a nice cognac/burgundy brown.

After shopping till we almost dropped, we went to Bocca for some lunch.
Bocca is located in the middle of Bergen, and at street level, so you can watch people walking by.
May be spot someone you know as well :)
Good food and decent wine and friendly staff makes this our regular lunch spot.



Lauren's Way - self tan

I admit it - I cheat.
With my tan, that is :)

But only on my legs as they don't tan as quick as the rest of me :)
So every year when the summer arrives, I use self tan on my legs.
I have tried them all, well almost all I think, and have experienced some funny results.
Some lotions just makes you yellow and orange, and some takes forever to work.
Some smells like yuk, and they stain clothes and sheets.

So when I heard that Lauren Goodger from TOWIE (The only way is Essex) had launched her own line of self tans, Laurens Way, I was curious. She should know a thing or two about fake tans.
I searched the web for information, and what I found was just positive feedback.
So I decided to order one, to find out myself.

Since I live in Norway it took 7-8 days from the day I placed my order till it was delivered in my mailbox. Not bad.
I decided to go for the "Darker than dark self tanning lotion"

Had to try it yesterday, and I must say I am thrilled with the result!!!
The bottle has a pump, wich makes it less greasy. A really good thing since the lotion itself is almost black. I used a mitten to even it out on my legs.
The result was amazing. I instantly got a deep tan on my legs, and it dried within 1 minute!!
No stains on my sheet, purely heaven.
And it does not smell bad either.

So today I'm at work with fab brown legs, and my collegues are green with envy!
YEY!!!

Baggy jeans

This summer I'm joining the celebreties, wearing baggy jeans :)



They are so comfy to wear, and will be my summer favourites :)
I chose Blink Jeans, thin fabric, soft, and I also can wear them as a baggy capri

Toms Shoes

When I was in London, I walked to Covent Garden. A very cosy area in the city.
Lots of shops and boutiques side by side in the streets, and luckily not as busy as Oxford Street.

When in London, I always end up buying several pairs of shoes.
I must admit, I find the shoe shops in London a bit more exciting then the shops in Norway.

Anyways; this time I ended up buying the fabulous Toms black glitter shoes.

I have wanted to buy a pair of Toms for a while, simply because for every pair bought, the company actually gives away a free pair of shoes to a child in need somewhere in the world!
That is a brilliant incentive - and I wanted to give my share.

Of course it helps that the shoes looks fab, and they are extremely comfortable to wear as well.
So, what's not to like?

Top Shop Oxford Circus

If you're ever going to London, and if you're just a tiny bit interested in fashion, Top Shop is a must.
I visited Top Shop at Oxford Circus, and it is so busy, filled with people, that I like to go there early in the morning, before it gets too crazy.

This time, I got a tip about the personal shopper service.
What a brilliant service!!!

I sent them an e-mail, got the answer the same day, saying of course they had time avaliable!
All I had to do was to fill out a form with personal data, hight, top size, jeans size, leg lenght, shoe size, colour of hair, eyes and skintone. Easy-peasy!

The personal shopper departement is located at -1 floor.
Beautiful, light and trendy area - reserved for personal shopping only



While waiting for my personal shopper, I was offered coffee, tea or water.
I chose water, and of course TopShop has their own lable :)

I had my own suite, quite large actually

This is all the outfits Falouka (my PS) had picked out for me, all hanging nicely in the suite when I arrived. Fabulous clothes in this seasons colours and prints.

All outfits also had matching accessories

This is one of the lounge areas outside the suites.

If your husband, boyfriend, mum, sister or friend is joining you, this is where they can relax

While we waited to pay, we were offered these fantastic sweet and yummie mini muffins.

Totally ok to get the blood sugar level back on track

When you have decided what to buy, you can pay in the PS-area.

No waiting in lane.

Just you and your PS.
She wraps everyything beautifully, and of course they have a special Personal Shopping bag as well

All in all a fantastic experience!!

You get to try outfits you never would have picked out yourself.
Perfect if you want a complete wardrobe change, change of style, or if you just need a fab dress to a special occasion.

And best of all - it's free!
...and no obligation to buy anything

So if you are going to London, my advice is: just do it! :)

Nye Pradastøvletter :))

Jeg har tidligere blogget om VINCCI Bergen her
Den gangen var det elendig kundeservice som var tema.

Siden da, har jeg vært innom VINCCI flere ganger - og tenkte faktisk at jeg skulle skryte litt av dem!
Siste gang jeg var innom var på lørdag, og jeg skulle egentlig ikke kjøpe noe.
Det var min kjære som trengte en ny skjorte, og mens han stod i kø for å betale den, så tok jeg meg en liten svipptur opp i 2. etasje.
....og der var det SALG!!!

-50% på alle høstvarene!!!
...og hvilke høstvarer det var; Prada, Marc Jacobs, Helmut Lang, D&G...osv.

Jeg fant et par rålekre sorte Pradastøvletter, og utrolig nok hadde de størrelsen min også!
En kjempesøt jente kom og spurte meg om jeg fant størrelsen min - og hun passet på å følge meg opp når jeg prøvde skoene også!!
Jeg bestemte meg jo ganske raskt - Prada til halv pris er et kupp!

Men, all ære til jenten som gav meg kjempegod service selv om det var salg :))

 

VINCCI Bergen - har de hørt om kundeservice?

Vincci er en av Bergens mest eksklusive forretninger. Her finner du navnene D&G, Burberry, Marc Jacobs, Loubotin, Prada...osv, osv.
Listen er lang!
Men, er det verdt det?
Ikke om man går ut fra servicen i alle fall!!!

Jeg og min kjære gikk forbi Vincci lørdag ettermiddag da vi så en nydelig sort kjole i utstillingsvinduet.
Nedlesset av shopping-poser, gikk vi inn i butikken og spurte etter kjolen.
Kjolen viste seg å være en Stella McCartney, og jeg fikk nesten sjokk da jeg så prislappen i prøverommet.
Kr. 10.000,-!!!! Djeeez.
Nuvel, jeg prøvde kjolen, og trakk et lettelsens sukk da den ikke var så veldig fin på.

Så da var det bare å ta på seg sine egne klær igjen.
Da jeg kom ut i butikken hang jeg kjolen pent fra meg på stativet. Og først DA våknet ekspeditøren!
"Hvordan gikk det med deg, passet kjolen???"
Vel, litt sent å spørre meg om det når jeg var kommet ut av prøverommet....!!!

Hva i all verden tenker de ansatte på egentlig??
Der står det en kunde i et prøverom og prøver en kjole til kr. 10.000,- TITUSEN!!!!!
Og så gidder de ikke engang å følge meg opp når jeg prøver den???
Latterlig, rett og slett!

Nå hører det med til historien at jeg ALDRI hadde kjøpt kjolen til den prisen, men det kunne jo ikke ekspeditøren vite...

Fantastisk helg!

For en fantastisk helg det har vært i Bergen. Rekordvarme og nydelig vær!

Lørdag tok vi oss tid til litt shopping på morgenkvisten. Turen gikk til Bergen Storsenter, og selvsagt måtte jeg innom by sam, som er en av mine favorittbutikker!

Min kjære er verdens snilleste, og insisterte på at jeg trenger å skjemmes bort!
Dermed kjøpte han en lekker capribukse fra Hunkydory og en tøff armygrønn singlet fra Bruuns Bazaar til meg!
Whiiii!!!!

Selvsagt ble det tid til golf også, både lørdag og søndag.
Det er søren meg ikke ofte jeg spiller golf i singlet og shorts på Herdla. Spesielt ikke når det blåser liten kuling. Men når gradestokken bikker 22 grader spiller jo vinden liten rolle. Da er det bare deilig å være ute.

Og når kveldene er så vakre som dette, så er jo dagen komplett!
